The Story
Righteous Reck, formerly known as Reckless Demeanor or Righteous Demeanor (depending on what part of the journey you found him at), is a South London–based rapper and producer. His fascination with music started from a young age. Growing up in a Pentecostal church, Reck was constantly surrounded by music and live performance. At just 9 years old, he picked up the drums his first real introduction into music.
By the age of 15, he traded in the drumsticks for a laptop and MIDI keyboard, beginning his journey into music production. But it wasn’t long before making beats alone wasn’t enough. Wanting a deeper form of expression, he began rapping over his own instrumentals — a decision that would shape the direction of his career.
Originally performing under the name Reckless Demeanor then Righteous Demeanor, his identity evolved over time into what is now Righteous Reck, an artist rooted in storytelling, emotion, and intention.

Recks Room
What started in a living room in South London has grown into one of the best-kept secrets in the UK events scene. Built around intimate, community-driven experiences, Reck’s Room is a platform for some of the best unsigned artists a space dedicated to showcasing talent and bringing people together through music. It’s less like going to a music event, and more like going round to a mate’s house.
The concept began when founder Righteous Reck invited a few of his closest friends over to listen to some unreleased music. He recorded the performance and shared it online, where it quickly gained traction, reaching over a million views on Instagram alone. That moment sparked the idea for Reck’s Room:
to take the energy of a living room session and bring it to a wider audience.
Since then, Reck’s Room has worked with dozens of emerging artists and has grown into a live event series, including a sold-out debut show at the legendary Prince of Peckham. Despite its growth, the mission remains the same to platform incredible talent and build real community through music
